Walter Hopper III was born in Hernando in 1962. His parents Janet and Walter Hopper Jr. raised him up here in a strong Christian Community. Growing up in Hernando, he was involved in 4-H, The Boy Scouts, Saddle Club, and a variety of athletic programs. Walter’s parents taught him a great deal about service to Country... his Father served as a member of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles in Germany; and his Mother, an MVP Basketball Star at Northeast Junior College, being recruited after a game into the FBI by Director Hoover himself. As a child, Walter’s parents instilled in him a strong sense of Christian virtue and hard work., his Father taught him a man should always be committed to God, Family, and Work… in that very order.

As a young man, Walter married Charlotte Greenwood and, together, they raised two boys in Hernando, Vance and Landon, who have now blessed Walter and Charlotte with two baby grandchildren. To provide for his family, Walter worked for 37 years for FedEx, 20 years at a family feed mill, and also held part time jobs through the years as a Youth Pastor, Fireman, Lifeguard, and coached both football and baseball.

Walter first became involved in politics after Obama's re-election when he realized it was not just the fault of the GOP for favoring weak candidates like Romney, it was also the fault of every Republican voter that did not actively fight for a conservative alternative. From then on, he was a full blown Grassroots activist, recruiting candidates and volunteers. The goal was to help people like Chris McDaniel, Henry Ross, Ted Cruz, and Donald J. Trump. Walter has been involved in the Conservative Grassroots movement for a decade now, and, when no other strong conservatives stepped up to the plate to challenge the RINO incumbent of his home Senate District, Walter, after much Prayer, decided he would challenge him himself.
